Intro
Our project presents a comparative overview of pregnancy, parenting, healthcare services, and family-related financial benefits in all EU Member States. Using current demographic and policy data, we analyse fertility trends, maternal age, ageing populations, and the socio-economic factors influencing family planning.
Each country profile outlines access to maternal healthcare, parental leave schemes, child benefits, and other social protections. The research highlights both common European challenges — such as low fertility and delayed parenthood — and the diversity of national policy responses, offering a clear picture of how welfare systems shape family life across Europe.
